How do I change the Color of my Clothes?

In the chat window typing   /col1  will bring up an applet allowing you to adjust the color of    1) shirt/hood     2) Pants/cape      3) Hair.

This is of limited functionality providing only raw color values with no Alpha component. The setting to right represents 31 1 31.

These colors can be accessed directly  by placing a space in front of the slash and a set of three numbers afterwards representing the RGB values...

It should be in the form :-

/ eg. ( /col1 31 1 31)

<space>/col2  <#1> <#2> <#3> for Pants/Cape

<space>/col3  <#1> <#2> <#3> for Hair

The  RGB numbers can range from 1-31...   31,31,31 being White and   1,1,1 being Black

( entering 0,0,0, strangely gets green,  Do not enter commas)

By increasing the first number ( Red ) by 31  an element of Shinyness (Alpha) is introduced into the color. This causes lighter areas to become brighter and shadow areas to become darker. the effect can be seen in the samples below.  (as 1,1,1 black is essentially all guns off on a CRT, alpha has no effect on it, there is no shiny black)

The combinations below are by no means the only one's available but represent  a good starting point for developing your own colors.

Descriptions are of necessity subjective and your monitor's color calibration ( or lack thereof ) can make things look quite different.

Codes you see with numbers higher than 62,31,31 are reduced by the system, by effectively successively subtracting 31, to a value set within that range and then displayed

These higher numbers will work but are unnecessary, your mission should you accept it is to find those reduced equivalents.....

This paragraph will self destruct in 30 seconds  (Cue Mission Impossible music)

To pick a raw color (without alpha) and see it's code use the downloadable color picker..... (click to download), 160K Zip file>>>>> ASTONIA COLOR PICKER, To make it shiny add 31 to first number.

Note:

The color schema for Astonia uses a 16 bit binary to represent a color, in the format

Overflow

31

Overflowing the Red value by adding 31 to it causes the Alpha to turn on.

Any value entered over 31 is reduced by overflow and division to a value within the schema and that resultant color is what is displayed

Images shown below are screenshots taken during daylight hours of a char's back using the color code given  for Shirt,   Pants are always black 1,1,1.
