i wonder if animals have multiple languages like we do, for example, does a bird from germany sound funny to a bird from the united states? or do they even speak the same bird language? wonder if they have accents? hmm... haha

I believe there actually have been research on bird dialects, and it was found that certain bird species do not understand one another if they are from different regions.

so your saying a pelican from Peru doesn't understand a pelican from France? Or are you saying pelicans don't understand penguins?

Well, language itself is pretty much a historical accident to wherever it was developed by the species. So if the dialect is complex and not simplistic, then dialects can emerge. Like cats have simple language, mostly body language that has simple meanings, purring, grooming. some of the more intelligent birds have complex vocabularies, so I can see them having multiple dialects. Also primates, elephants, other groupings that possess culture and audible vocalizations may have dialects.
