Hi all,
I came upon this game via reddit/rpg_gamers sub. I took one look at the graphics and fell in love - reminds me of Ultima Online which I used to love back in the day.,
Unfortunately, it's been years since I played any MMORPG, not to mention I no longer have several hours a day to play.
I would like to maximize my playing time - could anyone give me any tips/guides to get started on the right foot?
Appreciate any advice.

First of all, the chat system is very important =) You can for example ask for help at any time in channel 1, INFO. You can do this by typing /info "message" or by typing /c1 " message"
I also suggest you join all channels using /joinall. Many players talk in channel 2, gossip. Or trade items in channel 3, auction. As expected both channels can be talked in by using either /gossip and /auction or /c2 and /c3.
If there is any help you need while playing, you should ask in channel 1. I am very sure people will be happy to help you out =)

I always advice people to check out /help It gives a nice overview of a lot of useful commands in the game, many of them become a very important part of gameplay. 
Usually asking questions in /c1 Will get you far as well.

I'd also like to take the time to say welcome to Ugaris. This is a fairly new server running an older game...any suggestions you have are definitely welcome to be made and at times there can be a low player count. With your help we hope to restore the numbers back to how it once was and have hundreds playing at a time.
