Mantis
The dude in the forest could pay you per mantis body like 4-5g per body you bring him after the quest, and Orcrest sells mantis soup that is a freeze +x pot.

Re: Mantis
I'm always wary about adding things that impact other players, the stat pot would have to be both weaker and shorter duration than would be made by an alchemist, then you have to worry about if it will be used.

Re: Mantis
Yea, I'm not talking a huge, awesome stat pot, I'm talking an item that is mostly storyline but marginally useful. The mantises have that epic freeze, so to me it only makes sense that they are used to make a freezing soup. Hell, could also be a soup like the chili, but it casts freeze on you when you drink it. Would be a cool novelty item when people are fucking around bored in aston square.

Re: Mantis
i like the gimmicky idea tbh
Re: Mantis
Or perhaps the player could turn the same way a player does when frozen(light blue) for a specified duration. That could be 50% of the effect. The other effect can be the buff in freeze you guys have mentioned above. Since the effect will only be marginally I think the player walking around looking frozen(not frozen) is cool as well.
Maybe even have frozen foot steps trail 3-4 blocks behind the player as he walks.

Hey, it can be as complicated as y'all want or simple. New content is new content.
