Penting change
I don't know about this one because it is pretty radical to a core part of the game, but it sounded cool when I thought of it:
Possibly have the pents randomly change position after each solve. That would add a lot of variety too it.
Have it so that you play a section a few times, each solve in that section increasing a more local power setting, and after like 20 solves or something the DL door opens to you and you kill the DL for extra experience, and reset the section power setting, to make it like more of a quest line than just a time sucker, with a specific military rank and exp increase from gov after each section is beat kind of like IAC is.
Since the DL is so much harder to get to and eq is so hard to get, maybe add an orb spawner for each DL.
Just a possibility.

this would take soo much time, I like the random changing pents, but I doubt how this will work in practise...

I could imagine this having all sorts of complications when it comes to coding.

I do kinda like the mindlessness about pents, and it would be complicated coding, but it would make them a lot more interesting. Sometimes I don't want to mindlessly grind for 20 hours to get rid of negs. Mining is mindless too

You could still do them pretty mindlessly like this, you would just get to kill a DL and get an exp boost once every 20 solves or so, maybe a little extra bonus.

Right click gives you the pent value, so you know which one it is. Regardless of other changes.

I think making the Daemon Lord more of a boss-like kill that is maybe buffed up requiring 2-3 players to kill it would make DL a more common thing for players to do while in pents. And it encourages groups and teamwork which is much better than having a level 90 run you through everything. The DL door would not allow players over a certain level to enter which would fully assure you that the fight would be as intended.Sealav wrote:Pants annoy me I would like to see some of of change
I'm sure there is a few other little tinkers that could be added as well graphically and gameplay wise. Like maybe a "Pentagram Frenzy".
Whatever that could be. Just my thoughts as they come.
